Recent stuff
We got our copy of the Web Startup Success Guide, (recommended by Joel on Software) and it’s turning out to be an absolute must read for anyone in the industry. We’re also reading The Beermat Entrepreneur: Turn your good idea into a great business, which is also well worth getting a hold of.
We saw a presentation on Mendeley at Mini Bar last Friday. Seriously impressive stuff, they’re building a sort of Last FM for research papers.
I’ve been googling good product demo videos recently, as we’ve started making some ourselves. Some that were recommended by other bloggers:
- SugarSync Straight forward and makes it’s features really obvious.
- Email Center Pro Cool stop motion.
- Like the way the decisionsforheroes video interacts with the web page it’s on.
- Jimdo looks like a fantastic product and has a nice video introducing it.
That’s it for now. Back to prototype development.
